I forgot to post this with the other stuff from this week.
We just had this last week even though we're about to turn 19 months. Anyways, had to find a doctor and schedule an appointment and all that jazz which is why we're just getting around to it.
Joshua now weighs 24.5 pounds, 32.24 inches tall and 48 cm is the size of his head. He's in the 50th percentile in all three now. I'm just glad that he actually gained a couple of pounds and grew a couple of inches. I asked our new doctor about his weight and he looked at Joshua and said, "He seems to be fine. He's pretty plump." Loved the use of the word plump! Joshua has a very round belly and so it was funny to hear somebody say that.
When the doctor checked him out and we had to lay him down on the bed, Joshua of course freaked out and cried and I had to pin him down. As the doctor was doing this, he kept saying, "Whoa, he's a pretty strong guy!" I have nothing to compare to, so I suppose that means he's pretty strong since he sees little kids all the time. When he was born, the lactation consultant said the same thing when we were trying to get him to latch. For the first couple of weeks when we were wrestling, I would have bruises on my wrists from Joshua wrestling with me while I was getting him to nurse. So, I guess he's a little stronger than most kids!

Plump - that is funny. I don't know if I would describe him that way, but hey, he's 1 1/2, that's ok to be plump. :) My kids have always been "strong" too - must come from us strong mamas...
