So lately, I've noticed that other parents don't feed anywhere near the amount of food that I feed Joshua. I didn't realize that the amount he eats isn't normal....I don't know where his food goes, because I'm pretty sure he has leaned out. He eats like there is no tomorrow! I know that he gets that eating thing from me! I am constantly feeding him and then once he is done eating, he is grazing off of me or Derek or whatever food he happens to find on the floor (I promise I sweep and wipe up the floor everyday, but he manages to find a stray cheerio somewhere!).
Here's a sample of our daily feed:
Breakfast:
1 eggo blueberry waffle
1/4 cup of oatmeal
1/4 banana
1 strawberry
milk
- whatever other food he gets from Mom's breakfast
Lunch:
watermelon
serving of beef
serving of veggies
milk
-whatever he gets off of Mom's lunch
Snack:
either cheese, or yogurt
raisins
juice
dry cereal
Dinner:
1/2 chicken thigh
tofu slices
veggies
fruit
milk
2 cookies for dessert
-whatever Mom & Dad eat for dinner
Bedtime:
bottle of milk
So maybe it doesn't look that bad, but it seems like a lot. I've had to hide all the packages of snacks and things from him because if he sees it (even if he has just eaten), he has to have whatever is in it!

Your little guy sounds EXACTLY like Jacob was - and still is, and probably ever will be. People often wonder how a toddler can eat so much....just be proud. :)
I'll have to take him to Lulling City Market with me when you guys are in Houston...
That is nothing! I'm very impressed by your menu! Sounds very "by the book". At Joshua's age Samuel would eat 2 bananas and waffle and who knows what else. Samuel actually ate several bananas (4 sometimes) a day at that age. He still eats 2 waffles for breakfast some days. I'd say Joshua could even eat more!!He does not seem picky at all. Oh and how can Samuel be below the charts at 24 lbs when he eats so much?
I wish my kids would eat more at regualr feeding times, instead they just want to snakc ALL DAY LONG. It drives me crazy. I think you said best - court jester.
