Our 1st Haircut

So this past weekend, we got our first haircut. Mom was tired of trying to trim his hair and so after much research, I found a place. it took me forever because some places wanted to charge me $20 for his haircut! I love Joshua, but I do not want to pay that much for his hair. anyways, he did great there. Didn't like the clippers, so we just had to settle with the trim. He looks so much older now with his hair shorter.

We gave up our morning bottle this past week. It wasn't as rough as I anticipated. He is pretty hungry in the mornings, so sometimes we have a morning meltdown if i can't get breakfast fast enough. But, this morning, i brought a couple pieces of waffle up to him while i changed his diaper and that helped his mood considerably. He got to munch on a couple of pieces while we cleaned up!

Other than that, Aunt Tricia came to visit us. We hadn't seen her since May, so it was great to see her. When she came through the front door, Joshua burst into tears. We think it's because 1) we never use the front door, and 2) only the baby-sitter comes through there, so we think he thought we are leaving him. Of course, we won't break it to him that we will leave him next Saturday to go see "The Dark Knight"!! :)- Aunt T taught Joshua the great skill this past weekend of how to raise his hands when she yells, "Touchdown!!". Of course, we love it since we're such big football fans...but he's only done it a few times since she left. We're not sure if it will become only an "Aunt T" skill! We'll need to show him the 1st down sign too!

Still no walking, but lots of cruising. He is starting to push his toys around and walk with those, but he's still really cautious when letting go of things. But he can outcrawl anyone and can zoom past his little friends who are already walking!
