Raising “Wild Things”

This is a post from the blog Motherlode on the NY Times. It references "Where the Wild Things Are" (i know it's suppose to underlined, but I can't find that option) as how it is an effective discipline tool for boys. I thought it was interesting and a good lesson for me to remember as mother of a boy. Thought some of my other friends would like this too.

BTW, this book is one of Joshua's favorites...he loves it!

I read the article over on Jill's blog...thank you so much for posting it for all us moms of boys! I was just talking about rowdy sons with 2 friends of mine today, so this article was right on. And you don't know how happy I am to hear the guy say time-aways sometimes work better than time-outs. I've always sent Reid to his room rather than time out, so I'm happy to know I may actually be doing something right! :)

That's a really good parenting blog, thanks for the introduction.

ps - To underline you have to go to the HTML composition tab and then before the word type < U > and after < /U >. (but without the spaces in it - it won't let me comment with that tag in it)

Would I have taken the time to underline or even recognized the necessity - no.
