Today was a momentous occasion for us because we moved Joshua's crib out of his room and put his new bed in. We are in a toddler sized bed right now and as we speak, he is sleeping in it!! he climbed in, but he cried as we left and him and seemed a little unsure how he was suppose to sleep in it. We'll see how he'll do tonight. I might leave a light on in his room tonight just in case he gets out of bed and tries to play. Other moms, did you guys do that or just let them run around in the dark?
Here's our Before picture of how Joshua was sleeping in his crib...with his blanket covering him every time. I would get a little worried about the blanket, but he seems to be ok.
Here he is sitting very proudly in his bed!

Our kids did not play once out of crib unless it was talking to themselves. We still sit w/ Samuel or lay w/ him. I remember laying w/ Julia too. They are sooooo tired by bedtime it was no issue really --at leat none I remember now :)
We never used a toddler bed, but our kids never really got out to play after we left. They may call us a thousand times, but they don't get out. He'll get used to it soon enough. Hard to believe he's big enough to be out of his crib already!
He looks so old sitting in his big boy bed! My kids get out of bed and pretty much do whatever they want, turn on the lights, etc. I don't care as long as they don't come out of their room.
Jacob came out of his bed all the time too, but thankfully never came out of the room. Unless we were on time constraint for him to take his nap, I didn't much care if he got up since he usually ended up back in bed eventually
