Meet the Teacher
Let me preface by saying that I forgot my camera and I didn't get to take pictures...but we had our Meet the Teacher this morning and it was a great success! We are going to a new school this year, smaller and at our church. When we got there, Joshua saw the playground and the little house they had and he happily walked right into the school. When we found our classroom, he broke into the biggest smile, dropped his cars (can you believe that???) and started playing. He was so excited that he kept yelling and waving his hands around. He would get the play food out and he would sit at the table and eat the strawberry. He would say, "Mmmm, strawberry." and then smile and do it again. There are only 8 kids in his class, and it seems to be evenly divided with gender. I'm glad that he has a nice small class, so this should help with the separation anxiety. This gives me hope that next week will be a smoother transition when we start school than it was last year. I am so glad and relieved that he was so excited about the classroom and the toys that they had there. I'll have to update you next week when school officially starts!

Yea for Joshua! I hope next week goes just as well!
That's awesome, Erika! Sounds like a wonderful environment! You will enjoy the break I'm sure and he will love socializig with new friends.
J goes to school at our church too. I figure it is the only Catholic school he's going to get.
Glad he is happy with the new classroom.
