Too...

That is Joshua's way of saying "I love you too". We obviously say 'I love you' to him and we ask him "Do you love us too?" and I noticed the other day that sometimes when we're playing and I tell him I love him, he will say, "Too..". Maybe I'm stretching a bit here, but I think he says it often enough that it should count! He does say it to Derek also, so I am pretty sure that's what it means. Other words/phrases he likes to say are "All gone" (with his hands up in the air) and he's into even numbers....well just 2, 6 and 8...we're working on 4 and 10. :)

Joshua's new favorite thing to do is to hide under the covers in our bed. He loves hiding there and then waiting for Derek to come and 'find' him. He gets so excited when he hears Derek calling for him that he starts to squeal and giggle before Derek gets close. Then he has to drag me under the covers with him. He won't let Derek in, it has to be me, which is pretty funny. Then he shushes me while we're under the covers until Derek starts calling for him. It's really cute. Of course, when we spend 25 minutes hiding under the cover when Derek's not home...then not as much. :) Here's a picture of him throwing himself around our bed.

My latest quest is to take pictures in the bluebonnets. I think it's more of a sentimental thing since we've been away from Texas, but I have been bound and determined to find a nice patch that's not next to a major freeway. I found a patch from some people in my playgroup and we headed there this morning, dressed nicely and looking forward to it. We drove out to a field about 30 minutes from the house. I am thrilled and looking forward to getting some good pictures, but Joshua wanted nothing to do with it. Maybe it's because he doesn't feel well...or he just didn't feel like cooperating, but I couldn't get him down on the ground long enough to tak e a picture and when I did, he refused to look at the camera or smile. Sigh....we'll have to try again another day! Here are a couple that I took, but you can tell by his face that he was not a happy camper!

Wow, what a gorgeous field of flowers! Maybe next time he'll be into it!!
His hiding under the covers game is cute. Our kids love to hide when they hear the garage door opening when Todd gets home. They love for him to come find them. They are usually being pretty loud and are found quickly :)

We love to hide at our house too! Of course, when Kyle walks in the door, the boys usually yell, "Daddy, we're hiding from you!" Joshua is adorable, even if I'm the only one who thinks he looks like Amanda! :)

No, Lisa, you aren't the only one who thinks he looks like Amanda. I think so too - especially as a baby. J was so not into taking bluebonnet pics last year at Joshua's age either. Next year will be better.
