I know I'm back in Dallas when...

Besides the obvious with the weather, there are a few quirks that I forgot/discovered about when I moved back. Here they are in no particular order:

1) Our Family Doctor's office has an 'aesthetic' clinic where they offer microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser skin services and eyelash extensions (it's true! I might try them! Just kidding.)
2) There are 4 malls/shopping centers located within a 10 minute radius from our house. An outlet located 20 minutes and the Galleria is located within 15 minutes.
3) Out of the 4 malls near us, 2 of them have a ridiculous amount of furniture stores near them. One of them has Ikea, Rooms-to-Go, Ashley's Furniture and an Ethan Allan store right next to the mall. Do people in Dallas really need that much furniture?
4) There are a lot of peroxide blondes in the area.
5)There are too many people to count who are wearing Uggs in 60 degree weather. Just the thought of it makes my feet sweat.
6)The amount of restaurants near us is ridiculous. We went from having no choices to too many to count. Now we're overwhelmed instead of underwhelmed...and we still choose the same restaurants to eat at.

Gotta love being back in Big D!
Update coming soon!

Oh Erika - u r so right (except for the 1st one - they didn't have that growing up). I miss the metroplex,- the furniture store thing is sooo true - up here in DC you have to drive and drive to find a place.

The malls here are sooo sorry too - most only one-story and built back in the eighties.

As for the uggs - really? They were them here but its cold - 34 this morning. As soon as it warms up we all switch to flip-flops or sandals - that's weird?

Another thing I miss is that all grocery storys are 24-7 in Arlington.

Ok - enough I might start crying :(
