Presidential Election and other stuff

So somehow tonight we got into a conversation with Joshua about the presidential election. He ended up asking questions for 45 minutes up until he went to bed. We actually had to stop him from asking questions.
Here are a few he asked:
-Why do they live in the White House? Is it a Black house if they are bad? (this one took me a while to understand what he was asking)
-Who did Barack Obama run against before?
 -Why do you vote?
-Where do they go if they aren't the President anymore?
-Why is their house White?
-Who are you voting for?

I think it was taking a lot for him to process how the whole things works, so he was asking the same questions, just reworded. By the end of it, I was worn out and was hoping he would stop. But I now have to take him to early voting with me because he wants to see what it's all about. I told him that when we go he can't ask me who I'm voting for in the booth. :)

In other news, Megan is getting bigger by the second. She's 10 months old now and pulling up and doing all the normal baby things. The stinker bit me today, so I have a mark on my skin. But she has an opinion and has no problem dropping food on the floor if she doesn't want to eat it. Here's some pics of the kiddos!
We went to the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago. I managed to get Joshua to sit still long enough when we got there to take the picture before he ran off.

This is from Texas Week at his school. Yes, there really is such a thing here in Texas. We are that self-centered. :)

This is just Baby Girl being silly and proud about pulling up on the stairs. She hasn't tried to crawl...she is a butt scoocher. I will have to post a video of her doing it!
