Seattle/ Portland Trip

So Derek and I took advantage of having an opportunity to visit Seattle and Portland on our own without Joshua and before the new one arrives. We didn't rent a car and we spent the whole time walking or taking the train. We threw in a cab ride every now and then in order to get to the airports and train stations. :)

The best thing about the whole trip was mainly the weather. A 30 degree difference felt close to heaven for us and being able to be outside without sweating was SO nice! In the middle of this, we pretty much attempted to eat our way both cities and we came pretty darn close. Did a few touristy things like the Space Needle, EMP Museum, Harbor tours, Pike Place and in Portland we took a walking tour of the city and learned the history of the city. Other nice part was that we could eat at our leisure, tour museums and other places without rushing through and worrying that our child would cause a ruckus.

Here's some of our pics:

First night there I got to catch up with some old friends! It's been so long since I have seen Lynn and Erica that it was great to catch up!

View from the Harbor

One of the really cool buildings in Portland

There are actually pictures of me and Derek there together but they were taken on our iPhones....I am just too lazy to email them to myself and download right now. :)

How fun to catch up w/ Lynn and Erica. I bet it brought back lots of old memories and Coach Ryan references!
